15 August 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark day for SUV lovers in India. Mahindra is all set to showcase four all-new concept SUVs, an updated Bolero Neo, and its brand-new Freedom NU platform. The teaser images released by Mahindra hint at an SUV that is bold, muscular, and built for adventure. The Vision T Concept appears to feature a squarish bonnet with bonnet latches, pronounced wheel arches, and all-terrain tyres for serious off-road capability.
Up front, it is expected to sport a two-part grille with horizontal slats and squarish LED headlamps, inspired by the Thar Roxx. A matching rugged design could also extend to the taillamps, while the spare wheel and tailgate handle will carry forward the signature Thar look — blending heritage with modern EV styling.

The electric Thar.e concept, first showcased in 2025, is based on Mahindra’s modified INGLO platform — the same architecture underpinning models like the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The SUV is expected to have a wheelbase between 2,775 mm and 2,975 mm, slightly longer than the 5-door Thar Roxx’s 2,850 mm.
Inside, expect a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel, a rugged dashboard with grab handles, a large central touchscreen, and a chunky central tunnel — maintaining the adventurous DNA of the Thar while embracing electric mobility.
Premium Electric Off-Roader Pricing
The Mahindra Thar.e electric SUV is unlikely to fall into the budget category. While official prices will be revealed later, industry estimates suggest a starting price around ₹18 lakh, with the top-spec variant possibly touching ₹25 lakh. This positions it as a premium 4×4 electric SUV designed to deliver the thrill of off-road exploration without compromising on city driving comfort.
